Boys Basketball
“Welcome Home” to our Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and BCS Alumnus of the class of 1993, Derek Smith. Coach Smith is a Tampa native, who was a four-year letterman in basketball at Bethune Cookman University, where earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. He also holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. As a teacher and basketball coach in Hillsborough County for 25 years, Coach Smith prides himself in developing student-athletes who are ready for the challenges of the next level in their lives, both on and off the court. His experience coaching teams through the state championship level is sure to benefit our Faith Warriors in the upcoming years.
Girls BasketbaLl
Coach Ross is entering his first year as the girls basketball coach at Bayshore Christian School. Coach Ross spent four years as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at then Division II, Oakland City University, leaving as the 4th winningest coach in school history. Prior to that he was the Head Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach at Palmetto Scholars Academy in Charleston, SC and served as an assistant at Charleston Charter School for Math and Science for four years as well. Coach Ross has coached on the the boys’ side at the college, high school and middle school levels as well. Coach Ross believes in building strong, confident girls who go on to be leaders in their community and their careers.
Cheer Squad
Nicole Kemp is entering her 9th year as head cheerleading coach, and Amanda Ho is entering her 3rd year as assistant cheerleading coach for Bayshore Christian School. Both are alumni of Bayshore Christian School and the cheerleading program. The mission of the Faith Warrior cheer program is to instill positive values in our athletes while supporting our athletic programs, offering service to our community, and representing our school as positive role models.
SOCCER
Justin Chapman is entering his third year as the head soccer coach for Bayshore Christian School. Soccer is new to Bayshore athletics, but we have seen some early success. Coach Chapman is committed to helping his player grow in their love of Christ and their love of the beautiful game!
