Charitable Giving to Bayshore Christian School

Saving and Annuities

A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contract under which Bayshore Christian School, a 501(c)(3), agrees to pay the annuitant(s) a lifetime income in return for an irrevocable transfer of cash or other property.  Payments can be made to BCS jointly or successively, as the maximum number of annuitants is two.

Charitable Remainder Trust

A Charitable Remainder Trust is a gift of cash or other property to an irrevocable trust for a term of years or for life.  The named charity receives the remaining trust assets at the end of the trust term.

Gifts from Cash Flow

Gifts from Cash Flow normally come when people reorder their priorities and make sacrifices.  When a person gives up something they love, they are able to give to something that they love more.  For example, families enjoy eating at restaurants or stopping for coffee multiple times throughout the week and/or month.  Giving up $25 a week would result in a $1,300 contribution, or setting aside $50 a week would contribute $2,600.

Charitable Giving Resources

Gifts in Kind, noncash gifts, are the most overlooked form of giving.  Here are some examples:

  • Antiques
  • Sports Memorabilia
  • Collections (art, stamps, athletic cards, figurines)
  • Vintage Cars
  • Technology
  • Literature
