Bayshore Christian School is a college preparatory program for students two years old through 12th grade. Our faculty and staff have all professed a personal faith in Christ and are active members of local evangelical churches. We encourage applicants who are committed to academic excellence in a Christ-centered community to apply.

Dean of Students/Athletic Director

Identification
Reports to: Head of School
School Department: Administration
Fulltime: 12 Month Salaried Employee

Specific Responsibilities
Understand the educational model at BCS, how that model is founded in a Biblical foundation, and how it relates to student programs, discipline, and community life
Oversee the school community to insure appropriate, godly, loving behavior and interactions among students, faculty, parents, and staff
Collaborate with faculty and staff in the discipline of students to effect appropriate, godly, loving student behavior in the school
Assist the faculty in their professional development in matters related to classroom management
Lead in the resolution of discipline issues and maintain records of any action taken, ensuring that discipline policies are administered in a just and loving manner and in accordance with the student/family handbook
Conduct research on discipline and welfare with parents, faculty, counselors, support service personnel, and students to make recommendations for revising discipline policy and procedures
Coordinate and supervise student programs and activities of the school
Work with the Administrative team as part of the Admissions Process
Develop initiatives and programs that develop a sense of community among BCS families
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of BCS Policies and Procedures
 
Position Requirements
Previous experience working in a school environment and leading student programs
Demonstrated spiritual maturity
Master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
Good oral and written communication skills
Proficient use of technology
Excellent planning and organizational skills

Upper Division Mathematics

We are seeking passionate candidates for a full-time upper division math teaching position starting with the 2021-2022 academic year.

Identification
Instructional Teacher - Upper Division Math Teacher
Classes could include but are not limited to:
Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus, Statistics and Logic, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC
8th-12th  Grade Students
Direct Supervision: Head of School
Scope of Work:
Full Time: Ten-month position
August 1, 2021 – May 30, 2022

Professional Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Education/Mathematics or related field
Preferred minimum three years teaching experience at the middle school or high school level but not required
The teacher has a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Degree in education but not required
Professional teaching certification preferred but not required
Applicant’s willingness to sign an intent to earn for a teaching certificate in the state of FL within three years of hire

Professional Behavior
The teacher is an evangelical, born again Christian
The teacher will regularly attend an evangelical, Christian church for spiritual growth

Degree in Ministry/Biblical Studies from an accredited university and/or a Degree in Secondary Education
Preferred minimum three years teaching experience at the middle school or high school level but not required
The teacher has a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Degree in education but not required
Professional teaching certification preferred but not required
Applicant’s willingness to sign an intent to earn for a teaching certificate in the state of FL within three years of hire

Preschool Two-Year-Old Teacher

Instructional Teacher - Preschool 2-year-old Teacher
Early childhood training and preschool education focuses on beginning development in language, phonics, numerical, physical, social and emotional development.
Students: 2- and 3-year-old students
Direct Supervision: Dean of Administration
Scope of Work: Full Time, Ten-month Position
August 1, 2021 - May 30, 2022
 
Professional Qualifications
Preschool Teacher of a Two-Year-Old Class
One of the following degrees:
A bachelor’s degree with evidence they are qualified in early childhood education or a related field
An Associate of Arts degree in early childhood education or child development
Preferred Florida Department of Children and Families childcare staff credentials
Applicant’s willingness to sign an intent to begin DCF childcare staff credentials within 90 days and complete the staff credentials within one year of hire.

Minimum of 1 year experience in a preschool program preferred

Varsity Basketball Coach 

We are seeking passionate candidates for a committed Varsity Basketball Coach to continue a tradition and legacy of excellence on and off the court.
         
Direct Supervision: Head of School and Athletic Director
 
Scope of Work
Follow the vision and mission of Bayshore Christian School
Plan, organize, and direct Bayshore Christian School’s basketball program
Model good sportsmanship behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards opposing team, fans, parents, officials, spectators and community
 
Professional Qualifications
Familiar with FHSAA and NFHS standards and expectations
Preferred minimum three years coaching experience at the high school level
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred degree in education but not required.
 
Professional Behavior
The coach is an evangelical, born again Christian
The coach will regularly attend an evangelical, Christian church for spiritual growth
The coach will adhere to Bayshore Christian School’s Faculty and Staff Handbook
The coach is responsible for coaching, character development, and providing direction to student athletes
The coach is responsible for developing student athletes through thoughtful and respectful interactions
The coach is expected to have positive interactions with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community
The coach will demonstrate positive communication strategies
The coach exhibits organizational skills
The coach is familiar with safety awareness

Substitute Teacher Positions
We have a general need for qualified substitute teachers for all grade levels. Once approved, we keep these applications on file with substitute positions filled on an as-needed basis. Applicants must meet all requirements of full-time faculty members. Please complete the staff application, and if you have any questions, contact Mrs. Angie Bailey, Lower School Principal.
