Bayshore Christian School is a private, evangelical, non-denomination Christian school serving students PK2-12th grade. We are located in the heart of South Tampa, close to the Selmon Expressway and MacDill Air Force Base with easy access to the Brandon/Riverview area and St. Petersburg. BCS is widely recognized for its strong academics and Christ-centered environment. Our faculty and staff have all professed a personal faith in Christ and are active members of local evangelical churches. Administrative/Teaching Faculty Positions

We are seeking passionate candidates for a part-time Controller/Bookkeeper: 25-35 hours per week. 
 
Administrative Position:  Controller/Bookkeeper 

Scope of Work:  Part-time; 25-35 hours per week

Direct Supervision: Head of School

Job Responsibilities:
 
Accounting
  • All general ledger and subsidiary ledger entries and maintenance
  • Fund accounting
  • Internal controls, including cash handling procedures
  • Preparation of annual financial reviews by auditors and Board of Trustees
  • Monitor cash flow and expenditures throughout the year, projecting any shortfalls or overspending
Reconciliation – all bank accounts, contracts and agreements
Negotiate contracts for office equipment, copiers, bus maintenance and other items or supplies to ensure the best prices
Read over and approve all agreements or contracts that bind BCS  
 
Accounts Payable
Purchase order administration
Audit and enter all invoices, matching to PO
Check writing and distribution
Ensure payments to vendors and providers in a timely manner
Maintain all vendor records
 
Budgeting
Work with the Head of School and APA to develop annual budget for the school
Project expected annual income and expenses for the school
Attend monthly or special meeting of BCS Board as requested or directed by Head of School or Board of Trustees
 
Insurance Administration
Maintain policies and ensure they are in force for property/casualty insurance, worker’s compensation and student accident insurance
Administer the employee healthcare plan
 
Payroll Administration
Set up and maintain all payroll records
Run bi-weekly payroll checks and auto pay deposits
Produce all payroll records and reports for the IRS including 941
Employer Tax, W-2 forms, 1099 forms, and all year-end reports
 
Professional Qualifications:
The administrator has a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred minimum of three years of experience - not required.
 
Professional Behavior:
The administrator is an evangelical, born again Christian.
The administrator will regularly attend an evangelical, Christian church for spiritual growth.
The administrator will adhere to Bayshore Christian School’s Faculty and Staff Handbook.

Staff Positions

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise preschool, elementary, or middle division students in the classroom and on the playground. Facilitate learning activities to promote social, emotional, academic, and lifelong skills.
  • Assist in keeping the classroom neat, organized, and attractive.

  • Hours 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday- Friday

Pay: $13.00- $16.00 per hour

Direct Supervision: Head of School and Athletic Director

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide leadership, instruction and motivation to every athlete. Teach skills, techniques, and sportsmanship at various levels. This includes teaching our athletic department culture as a whole.
  • Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development.
  • Coaches and instructs players individually or in groups regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
  • Effectively communicates each athlete’s progress to the tennis player and parents where appropriate.
  • Promotes and assists with fundraising efforts.
  • Assists with administrative matters relating to the team and tennis meets.
  • Determines each player’s placement in matches to give the team the best chance to win, while also allowing for individual player development.
  • Attends all practices and tennis team events such as matches, meetings, social events, etc. Responsible for all matches and invitational entries in a timely manner.
  • Attends athletic staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.

Professional Qualifications:
  • Familiar with FHSAA and NFHS standards and expectations
  • Preferred minimum three years coaching experience at the high school level
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred degree in education but not required.

  • Effectively communicate each athlete’s progress to the athlete and parents where appropriate.
  • Promote and assist with fundraising efforts.
  • Assist with administrative matters relating to the team and meets.
  • Determine each player’s placement in events to give team best chance to win, while also allowing for individual player development.
  • Attend all practices and team events such as meets, meetings, social events, etc. Responsible for all meets and invitational entries in a timely manner.
  • Attends athletic staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.

We are seeking passionate candidates for a Swim Coach for the 2022-2023 academic school year.

Direct Supervision: Head of School and Athletic Director

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Provide leadership, instruction and motivation to every swimmer. Teach strokes, techniques, and sportsmanship at various levels. This includes teaching our athletic department culture as a whole.
  • Plan workouts that include appropriate technique, stroke development, team spirit, etc.
  • Maintain a safe and positive teaching environment.
  • Follow all protocols to ensure safety of swimmers in the water and on the pool deck.
  • Promote and assist with fundraising efforts.
  • Assist with administrative matters relating to the team and swim meets.
  • Effectively communicate each athlete’s progress to the swimmer and parents where appropriate.
  • Determine swimmer event placement and relay participation to give the team the best chance to win, while also allowing for swimmers' development.
  • Attend all practices and swim team events such as meets, meetings, social events, etc. Responsible for all meet and invitational entries in a timely manner.
  • Attends athletic staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.

Professional Behavior:
  • The coach is an evangelical, born again Christian.
  • The coach will regularly attend an evangelical, Christian church for spiritual growth.
  • The coach will adhere to Bayshore Christian School’s Faculty and Staff Handbook.
