Faith Warriors, please welcome Mrs. Jennifer Larson! She joins our Lower Division team as a fourth-grade teacher.
Mrs. Larson holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Literacy Education, both from State University of New York at Oneonta. She has 10 years of experience in education, including eight years of classroom teaching, one year of Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) instruction, and small-group intervention for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Her passion for teaching began long before she entered the profession. “Some of my earliest memories are taking extra worksheets from my teachers’ recycle bins and playing ‘school’ with my younger brothers and neighborhood friends.”
The Larson family is a proud United States Army family. Prior to moving to Tampa, they lived in Washington, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Rhode Island. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, walking, and spending time at the beach.
Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Mrs. Larson is grateful to have her entire family join Bayshore Christian School and is eager to begin the new school year.
“I’m very excited to teach fourth grade, meet all my students, and have lots of wonderful books ready to stock our classroom shelves. I’m also excited to have my three children – Kensley, Porter, and Clara – on the same campus.”
