Accolades...Bravo Bayshore Students

 

 

The Bayshore Class of 2010, consisting of 27 graduates, was offered almost $2 million in college scholarships. The 18 graduates in the Class of 2009 were offered more than $700,000 in college scholarships.  The Class of 2008 was offered $1.7 million in scholarships.  In the last 12 years, more than $10 million in college scholarships have been offered to our graduating classes!

Bayshore high school students have consistently placed in the top three as participants in the Nations Human Rights Essay competition.

Last year Bayshore students took 58 classes, 188 hours of college credit, on campus in the dual enrollment program, saving more than $10,000 in college tuition.

Bayshore elementary school students were honored as their work was published in the Creative Communications Fall 2009 Poetry Contest and the Spring 2010 Essay Contest.

Students in the Bayshore elementary and middle schools participated and were awarded in the ASCI Spelling Bee and Math Olympics. 

Bayshore’s record in volleyball competition is second to none.  We are four-time State Champions in FHSAA Division 1 competition, winning in 1998, 2003, 2004, and 2007.  We have been District champions for 13 years!

Bayshore frequently appears in the District Finals for basketball, baseball and softball.

Bayshore art students have competed and placed in several prestigious exhibitions, including: the 11th Congressional District High School Art Competition, the Next Generation Art Exhibition, the University of Tampa’s High School Arts 2009 Exhibit, the HCC Ninth Annual Fine Arts Competition, the ACSI Art Festival, and the Florida State Fair.  At these competitions, in addition to many “honorable mention” awards, our students received a total of numerous awards in the highest categories, 1st – 3rd, “Excellent”, and “Superior”!
