HERE IS A PROFILE OF OUR SCHOOL . . .
Bayshore Christian School is a co-educational, college-preparatory school founded in 1971 as a ministry of Bayshore United Methodist Church, and is situated on approximately 10 acres in residential South Tampa.
Bayshore Christian School offers a quality education in a traditional academic setting for Grades K-3 to 12th.
Bayshore Christian School is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
K-5 through 12th grade teachers at Bayshore Christian School have a minimum of B.A. degrees and many are state-certified. All teachers profess a salvation experience and are active in local evangelical churches.
Bayshore Christian School is interdenominational, and Bible classes and weekly chapel services are required. We are an evangelical Christian school where Biblical standards of behavior are modeled and taught. Rules and regulations are established as guides for student behavior.
Bayshore Christian School students in grades K5 through 9th take the Stanford Achievement Test each spring. Sophomores take the PLAN (a pre-ACT test), juniors take the PSAT/NMSQT, and seniors take the SAT and/or ACT plus the ASVAB. Other aptitude tests and interest inventories are given upon request.
Admissions procedures at Bayshore Christian School include an application, entrance testing, evaluation of previous academic achievement and conduct, plus an interview.
